FULL TITLE Science of Parenthood: Thoroughly Unscientific Explanations for Utterly Baffling Parenting Situations

I received this book through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This book is HILARIOUS.  If you have a pregnant woman in your life, get this for her. If you know anyone with small children, get this book for them. If you’ve ever wondered why your child refuses to eat the delicious dinner you lovingly prepared for them and instead chooses to eat their own boogers, this book is for you.

It’s not really a graphic novel, it’s more a book of comedic descriptions of parenthood, with some cartoon illustrations. It is also Erma Bombeck with a humorous science twist. There’s no actual science here, the science is just humorous, but it is humorous to the nth degree.

This is a short review, but the point is basically this: Science of Parenthood is a legitimate funny book, and if you have ever been around any small human being, this book is for you. Will it really explain why your child would rather eat his own boogers?? No, there are some questions in life that science just isn’t ready to explain.
